On Sunday 25th January 2009, some Phoenix fighters travelled up to Ipswich for the N.A.K. National Kickboxing Championships.
In what turned out to be a very successful day for Phoenix there were wins for Elisa, Craig and Connor with many of our other fighters earning 2nd and 3rd place trophies.
Congratulations to everyone that competed and thank you to all the supporters.

On Sunday 25th January 2009, members of the Phoenix Squad started off the competition season by competing in the Watford Open Nationals.
In the junior divisions, Josh from Crawley narrowly missed out on the trophies with two 4th place finishes, one in the Semi-contact and the other in the Musical Forms with Weapons.
In the adult divisions, Ross from Basingstoke was successful and took 1st place in the Intermediate Mens +75kgs. After a slow start in the first two rounds, Ross finished off his semi final and final in style to earn the first trophy of 2009.
In the Ladies Intermediate Light-contact, Kirsten and Sarah had a great fight for 3rd place with Kirsten coming out on top to take the trophy this time. 
Other fighters on the day were; Ruth - quater finals, Rabiha - quater finals, Al-maz and Palmaz - 2nd round.
