
Andy Songhurst started training in 1999 with Anthony Claydon at Phoenix Martial Arts in Crawley. He gained his black sash in 2006 and has been teaching his first class since that time.
Andy holds a 1st Degree black sash in Kung Fu. He is a member of the Phoenix mens 'A' team, an assistant referee and assists with the coaching of the Phoenix squad of fighters. He has competed successfully in many National and International tournaments, winning many titles including CIMAC National Semi Contact Superleague Grand Champion, CIMAC World Cup Champion and Irish Open Champion.
Andy has previously studied Wado Ryu Karate as well as Judo under the 1972 Olympic Bronze Medalist, Brian Jacks.
